The Evaluation d'Impact sur la Santé (EIS) is a decision-support tool that aims to promote a healthy environment and urban planning for all residents by integrating consideration of potential health effects upstream of development project implementation and into all related decisions.
The main objective of this project is thus to identify the health impacts of a development project on populations and to formulate recommendations to guide planning decisions toward more equitable and health-promoting outcomes. By mobilizing an interdisciplinary and participatory approach, this project will help co-construct territorial development projects that are sustainable, equitable, and health-promoting. This project will also help strengthen EIS expertise, which is currently limited in French-speaking Switzerland at the institutional and public authority levels.
